About Healing Hands Massage Clinic
healing hands was founded by Lynne Luckow in 1993 and is the oldest massage therapy clinic in Milwaukee. Lynne was the owner of an aquarium maintenance business when she read an article about the benefits of massage and was inspired to change careers.After researching many massage schools, Lynne chose to attend Aesthics University, a unique massage school with a strong emphasis on anatomy, physiology, and medical massage. While still in school, Lynne began training in Paul St. John’s method of Neuromuscular Therapy and found her niche in deep tissue/medical massage. Lynne was experiencing great success with her massage clients, and decided to open healing hands massage therapy clinic in 1993, renting space on 88th and North Ave. After experiencing positive results with paraplegics, brain injury patients, and fibromyalgia cases, and continuing her education and training with noted experts like Leon Chaitow and Deepak Chopra, Lynne became sought out by chiropractors, doctors, and personal injury attorneys. Once Lynne had grown the practice to the point where she was working 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, she decided it was time to start hiring more massage therapists. After outgrowing several different offices, healing hands settled into our current location at 10625 West North Avenue. Today the staff at healing hands includes 12 massage therapists, an acupuncturist, and two office staff. All the massage therapists at healing hands are chosen for their education, experience, and ability to offer truly therapeutic, healing massage. Other reasons for our continued success are our reasonable rates and high level of customer service. healing hands pays great attention to the little details that add up to a great massage experience. All the massage treatment rooms are unique and warmly decorated. We use high quality massage creams and oils, and offer heat treatments at no additional charge. In addition to her massage degree, Lynne is a certified aromatherapist, certified in Healing Touch by the Holistic Nursing Society, and has trained for 4 years with Deepak Chopra, learning Ayurvedic Medicine, and becoming a certified teacher of his works. |
